Friends are... part 7

Lua said being a good friend means:
Forgiveness is important

Sometimes friends upset each other and whether it’s intentional or not it is important that together you find a way to work it out and forgive.  Recognising that friends sometimes make mistakes is important.  Being a good friend means that you allow others to make mistakes and move on.

Mrs Achary said being a good friend means:
Sharing and Confiding in them

Confiding and sharing is important.   We often have little secrets that we tell our good friends.  It is important that you choose the right friend to share information with and that you know they can be trusted to keep that private.
While sharing and keeping information confidential is important sometimes we have to tell someone else because it’s the right thing to do even if it makes your friends angry.  When your friend is sharing information think very carefully about whether it needs to remain confident or should be shared with perhaps an adult you can trust.

Have a think about:

  1. Who are the people in your life you could share information with?
  2. What adults could you talk to if a friend tells you something you don’t think is right?
